My story:
Born and raised in Oklahoma City, I spent most of my time loving my family and friends, attempting to play sports, reading without telling anyone, and hating humidity. This led to a four-year stint at Oklahoma State University where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in English. I taught a year in Oklahoma before making my way to Denver, CO in the summer of 2005. Without this important step in my life, I never would have met my wife, earned a Master’s degree in Information and Learning Technologies from the University of Colorado Denver, or moved to the great town of Golden, CO with our son.
For the last 18 years, I’ve worked within an elementary, middle school, and high school library environments to cultivate print and non-print resources for the students, teachers, and parents. I’ve taught K-12 students the importance of collaboration, thinking critically, and problem-solving through the use of our online tools. I’m a librarian, AP Research Seminar Teacher, and a member of the Gifted & Talented support team for my current school.
