My story:

Born and raised in Oklahoma City, I spent most of my time loving my family and friends, attempting to play sports, reading without telling anyone, and hating humidity. This led to a four-year stint at Oklahoma State University where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in English. I taught a year in Oklahoma before making my way to Denver, CO in the summer of 2005. Without this important step in my life, I never would have met my wife, earned a Master’s degree in Information and Learning Technologies from the University of Colorado Denver, or moved to the great town of Golden, CO with our small zoo of animals.

For the last 9 years, I’ve worked within an elementary and middle school library environment to cultivate print and non-print resources for the students, teachers, and parents. I’ve taught K-8 students the importance of collaboration, thinking critically, and problem-solving through the use of our online tools. I’m a librarian, technology teacher, webmaster, and technology coordinator for my current school.
